What Are We Looking For?


Owing to continued sustainable growth, our Water Technologies and Modular Build division is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join us on a permanent basis, and work as part of our in-house, multidisciplinary design team. You will take on a leading role in aspects of projects from scoping and detailed design right through to implementation, ensuring compliance with Client Specifications and current regulatory standards, with a strong focus low on carbon solutions.


This position can be based from our offices in Edinburgh, Dalgety Bay, or Darlington.


Some of Your Key Duties Include:


  • Oversee design aspects of projects from inception to implantation.
  • Ensure compliance with Client specification and current regulatory standards.
  • Develop design deliverables.
  • Complete checking and approval processes.
  • Arrange procurement of goods and services.
  • Prepare work scope estimates/quotations.
  • Assemble contract works information documents.
  • Consider project health and safety, quality, and environmental matters.
  • Liaise with all key stakeholders for the projects.
  • Implement project change control and programme requirements.
  • Take responsibility as Design Lead on allocated projects.


What Do You Need?


  • Degree/HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience of working in a multidiscipline design team.
  • Experience of working at all design stages is highly desirable.
  • Design management experience is highly desirable.
  • Possess the ability to work on multiple projects consecutively.
