What you’ll be doing:

  • Taking ownership of PGI’s clients’ learning, training, and skill development solutions.
  • Consulting on design and scoping through to delivery as our subject matter expert on digital upskilling, leading capacity building engagements.
  • Lead on domestic and international digital security and resilience programmes both as a client lead and delivery lead, responsible for budget, delivery, risk, and leadership of the project teams including sub-contractors.
  • Designing and executing plans to achieve product and service-related goals, recognising agreed revenue and gross margin targets.
  • Providing subject matter expertise to effectively build client bids, proposals, respond to tenders, etc., including quality assurance and delivery modelling as required.
  • Supporting business development and Project Success teams, focussing on value-add, costing and developing the competitive edge to help win/maintain client work.
  • Providing subject matter expertise for training or skills development initiatives including cyber workforce frameworks, digital job roles, and career pathway designs.
  • Shaping project teams, drawing on your extensive network of partners, trainers, and consultants.
  • Advising on the use, design, or implementation of learners’ labs or exercises.
  • Managing PGI’s courseware, its maintenance, accreditation, and version control.
  • Overseeing the development and delivery of accredited/non-accredited digital security learning content, such as CREST, NCSC-Assured or customised standards.
  • Engaging as a consultant, advising internationally at state level on how to build national digital workforces, using cyber security common domain knowledge (DFIR – blue team, technology testing/exploitation – red team, purple teams, etc).
  • Managing relationships with strategic partnerships, third-party contractors, funding or accreditation bodies and suppliers.
  • Conducting skills gap/training needs analyses to determine organisation learning needs or capacity building.
  • Delivering digital security awareness training or key workforce planning deliverables to c-suite and executive levels.
  • Writing, collating, presenting, deploying, and managing learner assessments, lesson plans, infrastructure needs, course cards (TSKAs) and offering collateral.
  • Working with the Heads of Delivery to elevate relationships across the central business (HR, IT, Sales, Finance, etc.) to ensure smooth running of day-to-day business activities within delivery.


On day one you will bring:

  • Experience designing and delivering skill development or training programmes.
  • Multiple years of experience of delivering capacity building programmes in other countries, especially in Africa, Eastern Europe, Western Balkans and Indo-Pacific.
  • Familiarity with CREST, NCSC or NIST’s NICE standards on skills and accreditations, as well as other industry recognised digital/cyber/OSINT training or certifications.
  • Ability to govern and assess trainee trainers to meet the highest of standards.
  • Ability to conduct skill gap or training need analyses.
  • Extensive network of trusted partners, trainers and consultants.
  • Knowledge of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) reporting.
  • Effective client management skills in various cultures and regions.
  • Overseeing quality standards when customising training material.
  • Awareness of skills frameworks and experience designing tailored versions.
  • Ability to prepare or train learners to be certified to meet standards such as CREST, CompTIA, BCS, NCSC-Assured or Cyberscheme.
  • Workforce cyber-security or OSINT skills development experience.
  • Experience designing and delivering effective reskilling or retraining programmes (including diversity initiatives).
  • Ability to design solutions, identify commercial and project risk.
  • Ability to conduct presales and commercial cost/price.
  • Proven functional leadership experience.
  • Experience in training and mentoring team members to transfer skills and knowledge crucial to improving the capability of a team.
  • Experience assessing learners, providing feedback and recommendations on progression or roles.
  • Ability to define technical resource requirements and task stakeholders to scope.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to write clear and concisely and present to senior stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel overseas and engage with a diverse range of international clients, partners, and beneficiaries.
