The Sales Executive will play a crucial role in engaging potential clients operating in the GB, IE, NI and EU market, understanding their needs, and effectively communicating the value of our Customs Declaration / Consultancy services during the sales phase. They will be key in ensuring our customers achieve compliant customs services and bring on new clients from initial prospect stage through to hand over to onboarding growing our market share and revenues.

Key Tasks / Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation: Identify and qualify leads within the target market, utilising various channels such as online platforms, industry events, and networking. Develop leads provided by Marketing with the SDR’s and to ensure compliance and best-fit solutions. Take responsibility for new business opportunities in the market.

  • Needs Assessment: Conduct discovery calls to understand potential clients' requirements and demonstrate how our services align with their business goals/compliance needs.

  • Product Presentation: Effectively communicate the features and benefits of our Customs Declaration services, conducting product demonstrations where necessary.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Pre-Sales executive, SDR’s and Marketing team to grow the business.

  • Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and changes in customs procedures to align pre-sales efforts with client needs.

  • Proposal Preparation: Assist in the preparation of proposals, quotes, and other documentation to support the sales process.

  • Operations Awareness: Stay informed as to internal operations practise and procedures to make sure you maintain a good level of awareness of business operations.

  • Reporting and data capture: Ensure HubSpot is maintained and provide data for regular reports on lead generation activities, conversion rates, and other key performance indicators.

  • Collateral generation: Work with the GTM team to assist in the production of sales and marketing content including white papers, technical documents and thought leadership pieces.

Generic Responsibilities:

  • Outstanding experience in working with Customs Clearance or Logistics / Freight Forwarding sector.
  • Domain expertise – Minimum 2 years.
  • Ability to meet and exceed sales quotas and work to target.
  • Experience of Commercial negotiations.
  • Maintain awareness of the customs declaration market from a software and brokerage angle.
  • Proficiency in using HubSpot CRM.
  • Ability to understand customers requirements and present our solutions to close new business.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Quick decision-making skills.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks.
  • Ability to work in a team with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
