Casablanca is seeking a passionate and skilled Garment Technician with exceptional technical expertise to collaborate closely with our studio team across all collections reporting to the Senior Garment Technician.


Job Overview

This role will work closely with production, sampling, and the atelier to uphold and refine Casablanca’s standards, ensuring excellence in product quality, processes, and professional conduct.

You will review patterns from SMS samples to PPS and develop detailed technical packs.

This fast-paced role requires passion for the fitting process and craftsmanship. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to Casablanca’s creative vision as part of a dedicated team.



The role:

  • Collaborate with the pattern cutter to ensure consistent quality and fit across all collections by developing and updating standards and procedures documented in a supplier manual.
  • Take ownership of the product and all related issues through evaluating the quality and costs and recommending and discussing product changes.
  • Work with the Pattern Cutters to ensure all patterns have the desired finishing and specification requested.
  • Responsible for grading notes and passing over key information relevant to each style.
  • Work in line with the deadlines set by the CSCO.
  • Ensure all pattern measurements are taken accurately and updated in the spec sheet while maintaining the pattern library.
  • Signing off final pre-production samples with the sealing patterns and specs for bulk production.
  • Updating tech packs from production fitting, ensuring that all data is up to date and correct.
  • Communicate fit, quality and construction requirements to manufacturers through fitting comments with support of the Production Team.
  • Collaborate with the Design team and Production team to give technical guidance where needed.

FITTINGS

  • Leading fit sessions alongside the Senior Garment Technician, Pattern Cutter and Design team.
  • Follow up with pattern amendment notes to the Pattern Cutter.
  • Measure samples prior to fittings and review them on the stand, providing initial feedback relevant to the fit session while ensuring that previous fit comments have been addressed.



The candidate

  • Thrives in working with luxury products and has proven experience in a similar technically-focused role.
  • Solid understanding of fabrics, technical components, and sewing techniques, paired with a strong passion for product innovation and quality.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring critical path is honoured
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Excel, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
  • Exhibit a high level of professionalism and proudly represent Casablanca and its brand culture, showcasing a friendly demeanour and a positive, collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Highly organised with excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to collaborate across multiple departments and consistently meet seasonal deadlines.
  • A self-driven individual with strong personal accountability and integrity, capable of taking initiative, driving results independently, and handling challenges with a problem-solving mindset.
