To ensure all of Beech Group UK Quality and Environmental Management Systems are managed, monitored, developed, and maintained to ensure all sites in Beech Group operate to the highest possible quality and environmental standards.

This will include strategic decision making to improve upon existing policies and procedures and implement change / new policies as necessary.

This is a key role within the business, you will be the sole person providing essential management in the areas of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality to help foster a culture of continuous improvement to assist the business in attaining the highest level of customer satisfaction and compliance.


Responsibilities

  • Management of waste arising’s from Demolition and Asbestos projects job as to keep in line with Beech Group’s set target of 85% diverted from landfill across all projects.
  • Production and management of Materials Management Plans for all projects
  • Production of annual waste management reports showing total volumes generated and percentages diverted from landfill.
  • Maintaining Beech Group Hazardous Waste Register in line with the Hazardous Waste Regulations 2005
  • Production of Hazardous Waste Consignment notes for waste consigned from hazardous projects.
  • Creating policies, Procedures, Processes and other key associated content.
  • Responsible for ISO 14001 internal and external auditing
  • Scheduling and undertaking ISO 14001 audits on projects and inputting the findings into Beech Group’s audit register.
  • Responsible for compliance to environmental legislative requirements under the Environmental Protection Act 1990
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of environmental improvements
  • Ensure Consistency of quality and environmental standards across all Beech Group sites
  • Aiding in the requirements to ensure sub-contractors adhere to Beech Group’s environmental policy (ensuring all sub-contractors who fall into the environmental category complete and return sub-contractor questionnaires and associated documentation)
  • Be aware of the implications of legislation or other good industry practices, relating to the tasks at which they are based.
  • Observe and comply with company and client site rules.
  • Always maintain and use the proper safety equipment and PPE in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and company policy.
  • To ensure compliance with the requirements of the company’s ISO 9001(Quality Management System ISO 14001 (Environmental management System) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety) and times, where relevant.



Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental discipline or willing to work towards
  • CSCS Card – or willing to work towards
  • Professional membership to IEMA – or willing to work towards
  • Microsoft Office capabilities including Microsoft project
