Purpose of the post:


As an Assistant Management Accountant you'll play an integral role in delivering monthly management information to support our financial processes across a variety of companies within the group.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monthly MI & processes
  • Bank postings & reconciliation
  • Intercompany postings & reconciliation for the allocated companies
  • Central cost monthly accrual postings and reconciliation to schedule/budget
  • Monthly/periodic reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
  • Preparation of monthly prepayment and accrual schedules for allocated companies
  • Prepare supporting schedules and analysis of variances to budget & prior period results
  • Supporting the Finance Manager with the annual budgeting process
  • Prepare information & schedules for year-end audit according to standard practices
  • Ensure the deferment schedule is kept updated & any missing info is promptly chased
  • Post & document accounting adjustments
  • Update system FX rates
  • Quarterly reporting of agents commissions payable
  • Review coding & 1st stage approval of POs
  • Prepare daily & weekly sales reports for circulation to the business
  • Prepare periodic reports for partnerships royalties payable
  • Calculate & raise invoices for marketing contributions & agency commissions in an accurate and timely manner


What you'll need:

  • You'll have previous experience working in a finance function
  • Ideally you will be working towards a professional accounting qualification
  • Experience with reconciliations, especially banking
  • Awareness of the payable and receivable processes
  • Understanding of the general MI lifecycle
  • You'll be comfortable with Excel and have a deep knowledge of it's various functions
  • An excellent communicator
  • You'll be punctual, organised and logical
  • Driven and motivated to learn new things
