Job Overview:


We have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Planner to join a dynamic Purchasing Team. This role focuses on accurate stock management planning and forecasting, managing optimum stock levels to ensure availability and profit targets are met. The Supply Planner will work closely with senior buyers to analyse range performance, launch new products, and drive long-term improvements in availability and waste management.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Drive sales and availability through effective forecasting and inventory planning; raise daily purchase orders with suppliers.
  • Ensure accountability for availability and waste within your category area.
  • Communicate and build relationships with operational, IT, and sales teams to ensure optimum stock management at every stage of the supply chain.
  • Build and maintain supplier relationships, ensuring delivery accuracy and timeliness through regular service reviews.
  • Manage and maintain the accuracy of all product and supplier data within the company system.
  • Implement best practices to optimize product life with suppliers.
  • Plan supplier deliveries and collections across the UK and Europe in coordination with the logistics team, managing the cost of supplier deliveries.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to ensure smooth seasonal product transitions and event planning


Required Skills and Experience:


  • Passion for food and produce.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement and implementing process changes with an owner mentality.
  • Strong stakeholder management and excellent communication skills.
  • Proactive with the ability to drive personal development and support team growth.
  • Supply chain experience is desirable.
