Role overview:
We are looking for a strategic leader with a strong drive for revenue growth and building robust client relationships to join our dynamic team at Goat. As the Agency Engagement Director, you will be instrumental in overseeing a talented team focused on increasing net sales across GroupM agencies and fostering important connections between WPP, global agency clients, and Goat's local market teams. This role is pivotal in driving our growth strategy and ensuring exceptional client engagement and commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Growth Planning: Collaborate with WPP/GroupM client leads to develop comprehensive client growth plans, including client-specific targets and opportunities. Share insights with Goat teams to drive scalable net sales growth.
- Priority Client Management: Identify priority clients within agencies based on prospective net sales growth for Goat. Develop and execute individual growth plans and targets by client.
- New Business Development: Drive global new business support initiatives for GroupM agencies, with a keen focus on increasing net sales volume. Lead and contribute to global RFP pitch processes, ensuring the application of best practices across the business to maximise consistency and profitability.
- Commercial Strategy: Have a clear view of commercial potential and the necessary steps to maximize it across key clients, and across the wider GroupM Agency you’ll be working with. Be able to justify how you’re spending your time against a clear commercial objective.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership and oversight to a team focused on increasing net sales within each GroupM agency. Ensure team members possess the skills and capabilities needed to excel in senior stakeholder conversations and client negotiations.
- Continuous Development: Implement a culture of continuous improvement by upskilling team members and maintaining high performance standards.
- Client Relationship Management: Act as a liaison between WPP, Agency global client teams, and Goat's local market teams for major clients. Provide proactive commercial oversight and strategic guidance.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and nurture key relationships within WPP and GroupM, collaborating closely with Global Client Leaders (GCLs), investment teams, and other stakeholders.
- Upselling Opportunities: Identify success stories and proactive upselling opportunities. Share these insights with local Goat teams to facilitate their net sales growth.
- Commercial Knowledge Management: Maintain a clear and accurate knowledge centre of all globally agreed commercial and operational models. Ensure local markets adhere to established commercial agreements and prevent unwanted precedents.
- Commercial Progress Reporting: Regularly report on key client and wider agency growth progress and initiatives to the Goat Executive team.
