Dorsett Hospitality International is set to open Dorsett Canary Wharf, in Q1 2025,in Canary Wharf, London. This area of the Isle of Dogs within the London Borough of Tower Hamlets forms a strategically significant part of Londons world city offer for financial, media and business services.
As Front Office Manager you will be able to demonstrate excellent leadership skills and a track record of delivering results through your teams. You will be responsible for the front office and work closely with other departments to ensure guests have a seamless experience. You will be passionate about delivering outstanding guest experience and be happy to take the lead in training and developing your team. You will also be responsible for coaching and mentoring your teams.
Brief of what is expected of you.
- Oversee the Front Office operation to maintain high standards
- Assess levels of guest satisfaction and monitor trends, with a focus on continuous improvement with ReivewPro
- Ensuring the team recognises our frequent and VIP Guests, giving them a sense of belonging
- Training the team to operate with a sales attitude and promote the hotel brand's loyalty scheme
- Encourage the team to maximise room occupancy at thebest rates and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities
- You must be able to set departmental objectives, work schedules, policies, and procedures
- Maintain agood level of communication verbal and written internally and externally
- Work closely with human resources on staffing levels to meet cover business demands
- Take responsibility for managing performance issues in compliance with company policies and procedures with HR
- Recruit, manage, train and develop the team with the human resources support
- Create the company culture of bringing Asian Hospitality into our brand service focused, and driven to succeed
- Open-minded to change and have a creative approach to making things happen
- Exceptionally organised with the ability to efficiently prioritise manners
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, andbe flexible with the roster including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays

A bit about us
Dorsett Canary Wharf will have 231 guestrooms in the East Tower. The hotel will accommodate front-of-house facilities including a cafe on Alpha Square, a restaurant, a gym and conference facility at the lower levels and a sky bar/terrace on level 20. Specialist retail at thelower ground floor level will provide additional animation to the public realm.
Situated just six miles downstream from Central London, the hotel is within a10-minute walk of Canary Wharf Underground Station and a5-minute walk to Heron Quay and South Quay DLR stations. The hotel will also be well connected to the local bus network and withinwalking distance to river boat services operating from Canary Wharf pier to Central London.
London City Airport is less than 3 miles east of Canary Wharf and with the opening of the Elizabeth Line (Crossrail), within 15 minutes walk, connections to Heathrow Airport, the City West End, andThames Gateway will be significantly enhanced.
