The Opportunity

The job comprises of overseeing scaffold site supervisors in support of a fixed term maintenance/Improvement projects contracts. The Scaffold delivery lead will oversee circa 50 personnel providing specialist access solutions.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Accountabilities

> Supervise all activities within the Contract(s) to ensure contract delivery, SHEQ compliance, and colleague experience for the region.

> Support the Operations Manager to execute business strategy for the site and KAEFER UK.

> Ensure all contracts are on target to as sold margin; escalate underperforming areas and implement any mitigating actions to return to as sold margins.

> Effectively maintain internal and external client relationships to ensure long term sustainability of the division.


SHEQ

> Coordinate and Supervise strict, safety, quality and compliance management for all activities in the Contract(s), ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with all statutory requirements and corporate policies & procedures including, but not limited to, Health and Safety, Quality Assurance, and Employment Legislation.

> Safety Leadership and driving a culture of continuous improvement in SHEQ performance within the Contract(s).

> Engage and demonstrate personal and visible leadership with the workforce and with Customers.

> Networking with internal and external stakeholders to understand & drive best practices.

> Ensure suitable and sufficient risk assessments and method statements are in place for the Contract(s).


People Management

> Support, lead, motivate, and inspire site teams.

> Continuously adapt teams to meet changing customer demands as individual projects or tasks end and others begin.

> Support the site lead to manage the people development and succession planning within the division to ensure opportunities are created and essential skills sets are retained.

> Liaise closely with the Safety department to understand any changes in legislation and working practices that may affect the company’s operations and/or present new opportunities.

> Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, government authorities, other stakeholders’ and the general public.

> Support the Site Lead to Coordinate with HR to ensure that training and development plans, reviews and performance management are undertaken in line with the Company’s process and procedures.


Operational

> Work closely with the Lean Leaders to implement Operational Excellence and LEAN throughout all activities and projects within the Contract(s).

> Ensure that technical solutions are deployed for the benefit of our customers and the company, by utilising knowledge within the Division, KAEFER UK&I and KAEFER Group.

> Implement operational priorities which are aligned with the needs of the business, focusing on efficient and cost- effective practices, programmes and services, which add value to clients.

> Responsible for all day to day supervision within the contract(s) ensuring solutions are fit for purpose and maintain service excellence.

> Support the Operations Manager to Identify, assess and provides mitigation for Operational risks within the contract(s) and ensure these are monitored and managed.

> To build and maintain client relationships at a contract level within customer organisations.

> Support the Operations Manager in delivering the Company’s long-term strategic objectives; giving full support to decision making in line with Company strategy ensuring cooperation and collaboration with other Branches and across the UK&I operations. Challenge your colleagues and provide your expertise into the decision making.

> Make decisions in line with your Delegation of Authority (DOA), ensuring compliance of others across the Branch.

> Support the Operations Managerwithin your Contract(s) with information (KPI’s) such as safety, financial performance, governance, people performance and customer satisfaction. Input into reports for your contract(s) to your Site Lead.

> Support the Contract(s) in adoption and utilisation of digital solutions, developing it as a core competence.


Financial Performance

> Provide support to Site Lead to develop project budgets and make informed contract(s) decisions that generate agreed revenue and margin targets while ensuring Contract(s) costs are controlled appropriately.

> Support the Operations Manager to manage and monitor the financial exposure and expenditure of your site/contract(s),and maintain within the authorised budget and governance levels.

> Working closely with the Commercial and Finance functions to ensure financial information is accurate and risks are appropriately managed and controlled within set governance.

> Input into monthly reviews with your contracts

> Collaboratively work with Operations Manager to identify potential future works in accordance with business plan and strategy.

> Support estimating teams in bids and tenders for the Division and company.


Business Development

> Support the Site Lead to deliver the Company’s long-term strategic objectives making extensive contributions through Contract(s) portfolio performance, supporting site objective delivery.

> Collaborate with others including the Head of operations and Business & Strategy department on the development of opportunity pipeline, develop and execute win strategies to drive profitable and sustainable growth for the Site and company.

> Working closely with Operationas Mannager in securing forecasted work in the region in line with designed and agreed budgets and KAEFER UK strategy.

> Production of quotations within your capabilities and in accordance with KAEFER Governance


Experience of:

> Proven record of Supervising contract(s) within the job dimensions of a Scaffold delivery lead/Snr Supervisor.

> Demonstrate experience of client management at a contract(s) level.

> Direct experience of the Markets that KAEFER operate within.

> Direct experience of Scaffold services or similar Equivalents

> Can demonstrate successful Implementation of Continuous Improvement and implementation of LEAN practices.


Desirable Qualifications

> CISRS supervisor or SMSTS

> CISRS Advanced Scaffolder with ring system endorsement

> LEAN or Continuous improvement awareness
