The Consultancy Group are looking for an SAP Specialist, who will support implementing and managing our clients SAP ERP system, leveraging your expertise in SAP technical development and operational support. You will play a crucial role in implementing enhancements to key SAP modules globally, ensuring the system aligns with group-wide objectives.


Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Requirements Gathering:

  • Work with stakeholders to outline project scope and collect both business and functional requirements.

Technical Design and Implementation:

  • Apply best practices to align project needs with system functionalities.
  • Develop detailed documentation and technical specifications to guide the IT solution.
  • Coordinate technical tasks with input from team members and external consultants.
  • Secure stakeholder approval at key project stages.

Knowledge Sharing and User Testing:

  • Present solutions to stakeholders, clarifying roles and responsibilities.
  • Lead user acceptance testing and implement necessary revisions until stakeholder approval is received.

Documentation, Training, and System Deployment:

  • Carry out technical activities needed for system go-live.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation, training, and support throughout the deployment process.

Ongoing Support and Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive development and enhancement initiatives as directed by the IT leadership.
  • Oversee key system modules and integrated software solutions.
  • Translate business needs into optimized processes within the system.
  • Manage IT activities from project kickoff through to post-implementation support.
  • Lead project management efforts for assigned initiatives based on stakeholder needs and your expertise.
  • Provide thorough documentation, training, and continuous support for users and team members.


Skills and Experience Required

Experience and Skills:

  • System Configuration Experience: Over three years of experience in configuring system modules, with expertise in the following areas:
  • Procurement and Production: Expertise in handling materials and services, from requisitions to invoicing, including production planning.
  • Finance and Controlling: Specialized in managing financial processes like general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and cost center management.
  • Sales and Distribution: Skilled in sales orders, pricing, delivery, and invoicing processes.
  • Inventory Management: Proficient in stock control and movement across various storage locations.
  • Familiarity with one or more additional system modules is a plus.
  • Experience providing Business-As-Usual (BAU) support.
  • Preferred experience in the manufacturing industry.

Technical and Business Competence:

  • Strong technical skills focused on delivering effective business solutions.
  • Proven ability to map business processes and develop practical, value-driven solutions.
  • Knowledge of the system development lifecycle and related environments.
  • Problem-solving skills with a solid track record of issue resolution.
  • Ability to demonstrate business acumen and deliver value across different levels of an organization.
  • Self-motivated, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
