MacGregor Black are partnering with a Leading Sporting Goods business, on the search for a Account Manager. This is a permanent position based in Sheffield.


As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing strong relationships with assigned clients. Your focus will be on ensuring client satisfaction, identifying growth opportunities, and supporting overall business objectives. You will work closely with internal teams to deliver outstanding service and contribute to account expansion strategies.


Key Responsibilities


  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, maintaining positive and productive relationships.
  • Understand each client’s business needs and objectives, ensuring all requirements are met effectively.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to enhance account value.
  • Develop and implement account plans tailored to client goals and business objectives.
  • Proactively address any issues or concerns, working with clients to find effective solutions.
  • Regularly communicate with clients to gather feedback and ensure a high level of satisfaction.
  • Work closely with the Sales Manager to align account management strategies with overall business goals.
  • Provide insights on client needs, industry trends, and competitor activities to support strategic planning.
  • Partner with internal teams, including Customer Service, Operations, and Marketing, to deliver a seamless client experience.
  • Communicate client needs and expectations clearly to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Track and analyze account performance, providing regular updates to management.
  • Develop strategies based on data insights to enhance account performance and client engagement.


What are we looking for?


  • Proven experience in an Account Manager or similar role, with a focus on managing and growing client relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • A results-oriented approach with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Flexible and able to commit to additional time as needed, including occasional travel for client meetings.
  • Confident and adept at building rapport with clients.
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve results.
  • Conscientious and committed to delivering a high standard of service.
