Job Purpose
As a core member of the BritBox Product team, you play a critical role in shaping the future of BritBox. This role will be within the TV apps team looking after HTML Web TV and some native TV applications. You will work closely with the Product team on the prioritisation, design, development, testing and implementation of products and features that improve customer engagement and satisfaction on our video streaming platform. You will work with global cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, content acquisition, and marketing to develop and execute product strategies that align with our business objectives and drive customer acquisition and retention.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Product Manager to build and maintain a product roadmap and backlog consistent with the BritBox growth strategy.
- Support and use analytics and audience research to investigate user behaviour; to establish insight into product performance and to use this data to drive ideas, features, and product improvements.
- Support the continuous improvement of the product, identifying and prioritising enhancements, communicating them to the business as required.
- Detail out specific user requirements in the form of user stories, wireframes and logic flows to ensure all detailed requirements are clearly met and communicated with the engineering team.
- Participate in product testing, to ensure any release is fit-for-purpose and meets the needs of our BritBox customers.
- Work with the BritBox QA team to ensure product quality and identify bugs, issues and areas for improvement.
- Act as a bridge between teams, to communicate product updates, and ensure business stakeholders understand the core benefits and success of all product features
- Work with stakeholders, key technical staff and within governance groups to understand business needs and drivers and confirm objectives and priorities.
- As a product moves from discovery to definition, work with user experience design, project management and engineering teams to create an appropriate execution strategy.
- Develop relationships with BritBox global stakeholders, delivery partners and suppliers.
- Communicate all product updates, to ensure business stakeholders understand the core benefits and success of all product features.
- Manage the release process for your platforms including defect management and new certification requirements.
Knowledge and Experience
- Proven knowledge of SVOD platforms and technologies, ideally with HTML TV applications and Roku
- Good understanding of product management principles and methodologies, to demonstrate ability to support building a product roadmap that aligns with business objectives and user needs
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to prioritise and execute product initiatives, ensuring consistency of approach and unity of direction.
- Excellent analytical skills with proven ability to document detailed requirements and user cases.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally on a global scale.
- Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or related field.
