E-Commerce Team Leader Job Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to manage the daily throughput of Customer intake, Customer orders and provide leadership to the operations team. To motivate and encourage the operations team to deliver a best-in-class service to our customers.


E-Commerce Team Leader Key responsibilities:

  • Maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees.
  • Maintains quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards; analysing and resolving quality and customer service problems; identifying trends; recommending system improvements.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Maintain high standards of service to clients each day
  • Manage the daily throughput of customer orders
  • Manage and maintain the accuracy of stock locations
  • Accurately record returns receipts
  • Coach and mentor the Warehouse Operatives
  • Support Account Management and Customer Services
  • Provide data to support daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting
  • Any other reasonable request of senior management

E-Commerce Team Leader Qualifications and Experience:

  • Educated to GCSE standard or above
  • 3PL experience
  • E-commerce experience
  • Knowledgeable with FIFO, Lot control, and Expiry dates
  • Experience in managing a minimum of 5 staff
  • Meets deadlines
  • Reporting of KPIs
  • Understanding of multi-user environment
  • Knowledgeable in H&S requirements
  • Can contribute ideas and suggestions to team meetings
  • Can identify areas where process or procedure changes can benefit the business and improve customer service
  • Experience with WMS
  • Microsoft Office User
