We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our team at a historic venue deeply rooted in the landscape and heritage of Derbyshire. This role offers a chance to work within a team that values history, sustainability, and exceptional culinary service. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring cleanliness and orderliness that meets their high standards.


Ideal Profile:

  • Previous experience in hospitality or kitchen operations preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the confidence to interact with guests and team members
  • A positive and flexible attitude, capable of problem-solving and adapting to various challenges
  • A passion for food and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation
  • Demonstrated ability to hustle and maintain energy during busy periods


Responsibilities:

  • Maintain exemplary organisational and cleanliness standards in the kitchen
  • Manage the daily setup and shutdown of the kitchen porter area according to company standards
  • Handle all washing, drying, polishing, and replenishing of service ware and utensils
  • Manage waste efficiently, including overseeing the correct usage of recycling and food waste systems
  • Perform weekly deep cleaning tasks to maintain a hygienic working environment
  • Ensure effective communication and professional relationships with all team members
