Fleet Traveling Shore Excursions Manager

The Traveling Shore Excursion Manager establishes a positive working environment across all ships, focusing on ensuring operational goals are met and training, leadership development and recognition of overall team performance are sustained. This position travels extensively to the ships in support of the Shore Excursions Operations to conduct training, scheduled and unscheduled reviews to ensure maximum compliance with company brand standards and SQM. The Traveling Shore Excursion Manager strives to ensure that the Shore Excursion Manager is the ship’s advocate for delivering outstanding customer service to our guests and to go above and beyond their expectations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of (4) years’ experience as a Shore Excursion Manager is preferred.
- Previous management experience with a team of 4-10 individuals.
- Managed a land-based travel agency and tour operation directly responsible for 6-10 staff members.
- Strong knowledge of ports, tours, and itineraries (Caribbean, Europe, Baltic, South America, Australia, Asia, Mediterranean, and Alaska) is required.
- Previous sales experience in Travel and Tourism. · Strong communication, problem solving, decision making, and interpersonal skills.
- Superior customer service, team building and conflict resolution skills. · Sales background is required.
- Excellent Customer Service and Guest Resolution skills required. · Strong Analytical skills and experience in Revenue Management.
- Has the ability to think and act like a Business Owner.
- Excellent public speaking skills and confidant speaking in front of large audiences.
- Very strong communication, problem solving, decision making, and interpersonal skills.
- Superior team building and conflict resolution skills. · Strong planning, coaching, organizing, staffing, controlling, and evaluating skills.
- Knowledge of policies and practices involved in the human resources function.
- Advanced computer software skills required, i.e., Microsoft Office.
- Possess a good understanding of numbering flow “Debits/Credits”, adjusting entries and corrections.

- Working knowledge of computers, Internet access, and the ability to navigate within a variety of software packages such as Excel, Word, or related programs.
Language Requirements:
- Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly, and cordially.

- Ability to read and write English to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, supervisors, and co-workers.
