Job Summary:

The Assistant Warehouse and Production Manager will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of Nutriseed's warehouse and production facility. This position is responsible for assisting with the management of warehouse activities, including inventory control, order fulfilment, and shipping, as well as overseeing production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse and production management, excellent organisational skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The role includes managing a team of up to 20 people, ensuring that all staff are productive and adhere to company standards.


Key Responsibilities:


Warehouse Operations:


  • Assist in managing daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of products.
  • Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks to ensure accuracy.
  • Coordinate with the Warehouse Manager to optimise space utilisation and layout.
  • Ensure that all warehouse activities comply with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.


Production Management:

  • Support the Production Manager in overseeing the manufacturing process of supplements, ensuring that production schedules are met.
  • Monitor the performance of production equipment and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed.
  • Assist in the implementation of lean manufacturing practices to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Ensure that all production activities adhere to quality control standards and regulatory requirements.


Team Supervision:

  • Supervise a team of up to 20 warehouse and production staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure productivity and compliance with company standards.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of staff training programmes.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.


Quality Assurance:

  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure that all products meet Nutriseed's high standards for quality and safety.
  • Assist in conducting regular audits of production and warehouse processes to identify areas for improvement.


Logistics and Supply Chain:

  • Coordinate with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and finished products.
  • Assist in managing relationships with third-party logistics providers.


Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in the implementation of new procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Participate in regular reviews of warehouse and production performance and contribute to the development of action plans.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse and production management, preferably in the food or supplement industry.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and production processes.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing a team of up to 20 people.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly convey information and expectations across teams.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, particularly in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
