Are you an experienced and dynamic leader in supply chain management? We are looking for a highly skilled individual to oversee and optimise our multi-site supply chain network. This pivotal role will ensure the smooth flow of goods from international suppliers to our customers across the UK.


As the Head of Supply Chain Operations, you will manage complex supply chains, work closely with cross-functional teams, and drive operational efficiency. You will play a key role in ensuring seamless operations from supplier management through final delivery. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and lead supply chain operations for a business with exciting growth plans.


Key Responsibilities:

1. End-to-End Supply Chain Management:

Oversee the entire supply chain process, from managing international suppliers and freight operations to local warehousing and final-mile delivery.

2. Multi-Site Warehouse Operations:

Manage multiple warehouse locations, ensuring efficient storage, picking, and distribution processes.

3. 3PL and Freight Management:

Build strong relationships with 3PL providers and freight partners, negotiating contracts and optimising external storage costs.

4. Transport and Logistics:

Oversee transport operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective deliveries to both B2B and D2C customers.

5. Health & Safety Compliance:

Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations across all logistics and warehouse sites.

6. KPI Development and Monitoring:

Implement and monitor KPIs across the supply chain to drive performance improvements.

7. Leadership and Team Development:

Lead and mentor the supply chain team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

- On-time delivery rate to B2B and D2C customers

- Warehouse efficiency (picking accuracy, order processing time, etc.)

- Cost control for freight and storage

- Supplier performance (lead time adherence, quality, etc.)

- Health & Safety compliance (incident rates, audit scores)


Qualifications and Experience:

- Proven experience in senior supply chain management, preferably in multi-site operations

- Strong knowledge of international supply chain logistics, including sea freight and long lead times

- Experience managing 3PL and freight partnerships

- Excellent leadership and communication skills

- Analytical mindset with experience using KPIs to drive efficiency

- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a logistics environment

- Ability to balance supply, demand, and cash flow efficiently
