Our Client, is a leading manufacturing company known for innovation and excellence in its field. As the Commercial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing the finance department, supporting key business decisions and ensuring financial health. You will be responsible for overseeing the monthly management accounting cycle, financial planning, analysis and reporting to drive profitability and operational efficiency.

Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for:

  • The management and development of a large finance team
  • Overseeing and reviewing the monthly financial statements and budgeting and forecasting process
  • Conducting variance analysis and providing insights into financial performance
  • Analysing pricing structures, profitability, and cost management strategies
  • Assisting in developing business cases for new projects and investments
  • The migration to a new accountancy system

Candidate requirements:

  • A Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience
  • Proven experience in accounting and financial analysis within the manufacturing industry along with import/export knowledge
  • A strategic and operational leader who can successfully influence and collaborate with internal stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A true leader who can motivate and develop their team
  • Exceptional technical skills with a strong attention to detail
