Job Title: Chef de Partie
Location: Eastbourne College
Salary: 14.50 per hour (Equivalent to approximately 23,000 per year)

This is a full-time, term-time role with occasional weekend work. The hourly rate is 14.50, with a total salary equivalent to 39.6 weeks or approximately 23,000 per year, plus pro-rata holiday entitlement of 4.4 weeks. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, with strong skills in food preparation and presentation. You should have a good understanding of kitchen health and safety and be able to work well under pressure while maintaining high standards.



Job Description

  • Prepare and cook dishes to the highest standards
  • Maintain food safety and hygiene standards at all times
  • Ensure consistency in food quality across all dishes
  • Contribute to menu planning and help develop creative ideas for the kitchen
  • Work in a supportive and rewarding environment with a well-established culinary team


Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar kitchen role.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations (e.g., Food Safety Level 2 or equivalent).
  • Ability to prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes to a consistent standard.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Good understanding of dietary requirements and ability to cater to various dietary needs.
