We have an opportunity within our Design team for someone passionate about creating beautiful lingerie that’s true to our values; a Designer who appreciates the intricacies and care it takes to craft the best fitting lingerie without compromising on style, and one who shares our mission to bring joy and make customers feel amazing


Responsibilities

Concept Creation and Development


  • Responsible for explorative research into fashion and consumer trends, current events, art, and history to aid the development of seasonal trends using various resources and techniques e.g. exhibitions, comparative shopping, internet (social media platforms), trade and fashion shows, magazines, etc.
  • Work with the Creative Director to develop key overarching creative direction to implement at the beginning of each season, bringing your original ideas to convey freshness and relevance to the product.
  • Research and organization for inspirational trips. Attend trade shows where needed.
  • To work closely with suppliers to aid design direction and to develop exclusive fabrics, embroideries, laces, and prints.
  • Display confidence in following through styles from sketch to production.


Design and Product Development

  • Actively lead, drive, and monitor the conceptual development of innovative and directional product lines from CAD through to finished samples.
  • Work with the Technical team throughout the fit process to ensure the integrity of the design is maintained while considering Panache’s fit and performance integrity, ensuring any changes are highlighted to the wider team.
  • Using knowledge of the industry, source and develop fabrics, trims, and prints that represent the fit and feel of the brand. Identify any cost and minimum issues that may affect margin and production levels.
  • Develop professional relationships with suppliers, communicating professionally and clearly. Negotiate where needed to meet required price points
  • Complete detailed bill of materials and other relevant costing information for the factories, ensuring proposed products meet the agreed price points and achieve target margin.
  • As part of the wider team, join our journey to make improvements concerning sustainability. Sourcing sustainable qualities wherever possible.


Qualifications

  • A passion for Lingerie
  • Contour Fashion or any other fashion-relevant Degree
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
  • Expert knowledge in Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Excellent presentation skills and strong ability to communicate ideas to the team and wider business when needed
