South Gloucestershire Council are looking for a Social Worker to join their Children s Front Door, Duty & Assessment Team.

This is a Full-Time, Locum Social Work role.

About The Team:

The Children s Front Door Team is part of the children's services department, responsible for handling initial contact and referrals related to safeguarding children.

This team is the first point of contact for anyone concerned about a child s welfare and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and manage front-door referrals, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
  • Work within a supportive multi-agency team to safeguard children and promote their welfare.
  • Manage a manageable caseload in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.

About You:

  • Strong experience in child protection, assessments, and front door duty.
  • Excellent communication and risk assessment skills.
  • Car Driver and Access to a vehicle is required.
  • BA(Hons) in Social Work and to be registered with Social Work England (SWE).
