The role is offered on a hybrid/remote basis but will require periodic travel to the Bristol HQ.



Role

This senior-level position requires strategic thinking, effective leadership, and a strong commitment to ensuring compliance and funding risks are minimised via effective processes, controls, and funding assurance activity.

The role is instrumental in improving the organisation’s compliance governance, operational processes and partnering with key stakeholders to create and align best practice to deliver compliant learner journeys. You will have an excellent understanding of the ESFA apprenticeship funding rules and claims processes and use this knowledge to ensure operating procedures and internal controls are compliant and the integrity of the ILR is maintained.



About You

  • Significant management experience at a senior level (i.e., Head of Function) within apprenticeship funding compliance.
  • Experience of funding compliance planning at a strategic level involving the development, implementation and continuous improvement of processes and controls to minimise risk.
  • Experience in driving technology-led process improvements and leading and managing complex projects.
  • Appreciation and understanding of a wide range of apprenticeship funding compliance requirements and the funding compliance issues arising from these.
  • Confidence and ability to successfully manage the Funding Compliance function and utilise available resources to maximum effectiveness.
  • Detailed knowledge and experience in organising, managing, and controlling a wide range of funding compliance activity, and maintaining comprehensive control information.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead change initiatives effectively.
