As our Go To Market Manager you will create, execute and measure our UK Route to Market (RTM) Strategy across a 3-year time horizon and create the blueprint and roadmap for our External Growth and Market Share for the UK business to execute against. You will own the execution and success against the RTM Strategy and ensure all KPIs and measures are tracked and reviewed monthly in SLT. You will also ensure that we have foresight in the UK Market and plan scenarios to successfully navigate any change.


You will be responsible for influencing the business to deliver the Growth Pillars to “win” in the UK Market. It also connects the dots through our Annual Planning Process to external execution owning the creation of our Go to Market plans and ensuring they are fit for purpose via our Sales Briefing. As our GTM Manager you will lead our Sales Business Intel and Insights and reporting against all key measures within our RTM Strategy to continuously measure success vs. RTM KPIs / Annual Operation Plan (AOP) across the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) calendar and SLT. You will manage the end to end of our RTM Strategy to execution to measurement and course correction.


YOUR ROLE


  • Create and lead the RTM 3-year Horizon Planning for Mid-Term Planning (MTP) and in year AOP £590m to £1bn Business.
  • Create RTM Plans with the Head of Channel by year to shape what is needed to win by year for our RTM ambition and to influence the UK business as to what is needed to win.
  • Review market conditions, update on key trends and changes to our RTM.
  • Foresight to predict any Market, Category or Channel changes to get ahead and scenario plan.
  • Ensure the UK RTM is consistently measured against with clear KPIs and reporting tools to assess progress and course correct where needed.
  • Lead the Go to Market Execution of our AOP to Sales > Customers ensuring the red thread connection from Strategy to Execution.
  • Own the standardisation of our UK Commercial decks, narratives and create a centralised view.
  • Be the CS&E lead for any “special project” needs as and when they arise.


WHAT YOU BRING


  • Degree educated or equivalent experience.
  • Solid experience working within the FMCG industry.
  • Commercial experience, incorporating account management and more senior leadership roles within customer teams, ideally across different trade channels.
  • Competence in category management, supply chain and financial management desirable to ensure seamless cross functional working.
  • Strong commercial acumen to be able to build strategically sound, financially robust strategies and proposals that drive long term, sustainable growth in line with Compass 2030
  • Competence in Microsoft Office and Teams to drive efficient ways of working.
