CK Group are recruiting for a GMP Scientist to join a growing Cell Therapy CDMO to be based at their site in Cambridge on a permanent basis.


Your main responsibility will involve working within the GMP Production team, supporting the production of cellular therapy products for clinical use.


Job Summary:

As a GMP Production Scientist you will report to the Senior Scientist and will work within the GMP manufacturing team, with responsibility for delivery of cellular therapy products. The GMP Production Scientist will be responsible for performing batch manufacturing of the company’s contract manufacturing products to support the delivery, in the first instance, of Advanced Therapeutic Medicinal Products (ATMPs) as both ”Specials” and as Investigational Medicinal Products (IMPs). The post holder will work closely with GMP Production Scientists, Quality Assurance Scientists and facilitate the efficient delivery of cellular therapy products for clinical use.


You will have the following experience/qualifications:

  • A degree (or equivalent) in a Science or related discipline
  • Experience of cell culture techniques
  • Experience in aseptic manufacturing in a controlled clean-room environment
  • Experience following validated SOPs and reporting on deviations to SOPs
  • Working knowledge of GMP for ATMPs and EU regulations for cell and gene therapy products
  • Experience in manufacturing cellular therapies or stem cell processing and cell banking
