Role Overview:
Our client is seeking a skilled Security Architect to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering security solutions for their IT infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business risk appetite, standards, and regulatory requirements. Reporting to the Lead Security Architect, you will provide expert advice and guidance, support the implementation of the IT security strategy, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver secure solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver security solutions as part of IT infrastructure projects, from requirements gathering to low-level design, ensuring compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support the Lead Security Architect in developing and implementing the IT security strategy and services.
- Provide advice and guidance to colleagues and business units on delivering secure solutions in accordance with technical governance processes, policies, and standards.
- Assess risk and compliance for solutions at scale, with a focus on 5000+ endpoints, and implement security infrastructure solutions such as SIEM, Access Governance, SASE, and Endpoint Protection.
- Apply information security standards (e.g., ISO 27001, ISF, NIST), industry security guidance (OWASP & CIS), and risk assessment frameworks to ensure systems/services meet acceptable security requirements.
- Identify and assess business and technical security requirements, along with associated risks and potential weaknesses, and apply controls to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
- Review vulnerability and penetration test reports, providing recommendations for remedial actions.
- Possess relevant certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or equivalent.
Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale solutions in a senior architectural role.
- Strong people management skills with the ability to mentor and inspire.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience in developing and maintaining effective relationships at senior levels within an organization.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic environment, making sound decisions in emergency situations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- High standards of integrity and ethics.
Desirable:
- Certification in Enterprise and Solutions Architecture (e.g., BCS, TOGAF).
