My client is fast-growth start-up in the Payments space. They are an innovative Payments acquirer that provides UK & European merchants with acceptance solutions for their card payment needs. Already a profitable business, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a new entrant to disrupt the market in a high impact role.

In this role, you will be at the forefront of our merchant acquisition drive, responsible for identifying potential customers, generating new business opportunities, and managing leads through the sales pipeline. You will work closely with the commercial team to ensure that our company’s goals are met.

Responsibilities for the Sales Development Representative


  • Understand the products and services and be able to articulate its functions, benefits and value proposition
  • Create a systematic, process-driven approach to identify potential customers and generate new business opportunities for the company
  • Work on account list building, qualification, scoring, and prioritisation. Evaluate ICP fit and revenue potential
  • Contact potential customers, set appointments and follow up on leads
  • Track progress towards meeting sales goals
  • Secure and win new business
  • Use Hubspot (CRM) to manage leads and sales activities
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities and results to management
  • Stay up-to-date on market trends, competition and industry developments


Requirements for the Sales Development Representative


  • 2+ years of experience in sales
  • Payments Industry experience preferred, but not essential
  • A desire to learn, grow and a positive attitude
  • Compassionate and humble, we are looking for a good allrounder
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of sales techniques and strategies
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Time management and organisational skills
