- Be an experienced specialist in film/moving image production who demonstrates technical ability and has a passion for remaining at the leading edge of industry trends

Main Purpose of Role:
Responsible for building a high performing standalone film department as part of mcm’s overall creative communications services. Overseeing all film production processes and driving innovation in film and moving image creation, including delivering exceptional quality outputs for our clients’ internal and external audiences.
Main Responsibilities of the Role:
- Act as a creative ambassador, championing the company’s values while encouraging a culture of innovation and collaboration across the business
- Be the creative lead responsible for moving image concepts, storyboards, narrative direction and critical thinking working with internal teams and stakeholders, taking on and responding to feedback
- Understanding and fulfilling the creative requirements of the client brief including brand alignment
- Developing creative treatments, writing scripts and where appropriate taking these into execution (including location directing where necessary)
- Leading the film team with cutting-edge technical skills while fostering a culture of creativity and innovation. Stay informed on emerging trends such as AI in filmmaking, ensuring that our offerings remain inline of market developments
- Working independently and alongside account teams to create proposals, pitch and win new film and moving image projects
- Overseeing and ensuring the consistency and exceptional quality standards of all film and moving image projects.
- Own quality control, making sure that no work is sent to by clients without your review first
- Working with business development and client services team to ensure ideas and concepts are profitable and aligned to our business growth strategy
- Actively engaging with clients to upsell film services, fostering long-term relationships, securing repeat business, and working closely with account teams to support the development of new revenue streams
- Developing and managing a skilled team, ensuring resources are effectively allocated across projects
- Building and maintaining a network of top-tier freelancers and suppliers to scale operations as required
- Perform line management responsibilities for designated direct reports

- Experience of operating at a senior level with speciality in a film/moving image production role

- Pitching ideas and concepts and working with clients
- Experience working with B2B clients and clients’ internal employee audiences
- Adept in translating themes, concepts, and ideas into projects of a high standard
- Experience of supervising, managing, and collaborating with teams
- Commercially strong (influencing, negotiating, budgeting)
- Ability and willingness to work independently or part of a small team
- Experience of working across the UK and internationally (EMEA/U.S./Asia)
