Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategy:

Develop and implement the strategic direction for the International Financial Shared Service Operations in alignment with WPP's overall financial goals and objectives.

Provide visionary leadership to the team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Drive initiatives to standardize processes, enhance efficiency, and optimize resources across international locations.

Operational Excellence:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the financial shared service centers, ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.

Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure performance, productivity, and quality of service delivery.

Implement best practices, quality controls, and compliance measures to mitigate risks and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

Stakeholder Management:

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance leaders, business unit heads, and regional controllers, to understand their needs and provide responsive financial support.

Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to drive alignment, resolve issues, and promote a customer-centric service culture.

Technology and Innovation:

Evaluate, recommend, and implement technology solutions to streamline processes, enhance automation, and improve the effectiveness of financial shared service operations.

Champion innovation and continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational efficiency and service excellence.

5. Performance and Quality Management:

Establish KPIs, metrics, and benchmarks to measure the performance and quality of shared service delivery, monitoring progress and implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies to mitigate risk and maintain operational integrity.

6. Change Management and Continuous Improvement:

Lead change management initiatives to drive organizational transformation and adoption of best practices within shared service operations.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging feedback, learning, and innovation to enhance service delivery and drive operational excellence.

7. Talent Development and Team Management:

Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team of finance professionals, providing coaching, mentorship, and opportunities for growth and development.

Foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and accountability within the team, promoting a supportive and inclusive work environment.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Extensive experience in financial shared service operations, with a proven track record of leadership and achievement in a multinational environment.

Strong understanding of financial processes, controls, and systems, with expertise in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence.

Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and drive results.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and geographies.

Strong analytical skills and business acumen, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and drive continuous improvement.

Certification in finance or accounting (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred.

Experience in the advertising, marketing, or communications industry is a plus.
