National Account Manager

Are you passionate about developing your career in the Cash n Carry, Convenience and High Street channels? Are you looking for a new challenge and are you passionate about great food brands and bio-diversity?
If so, you could be joining Ecotone, the first and largest multinational food company to fully become a B Corp - and you could be managing our portfolio of organic and natural brands including Clipper Teas, Whole Earth, Kallo and Mrs Crimble's in these channels.
Specifically, you would be responsible for accelerating the growth in these challenges and your responsibilities would include:-
Responsibility for the delivery of UK Cash and Carry/Convenience sales plan to meet/exceed, revenue, EBIT and distribution targets
Account Management responsibility for Cash and Carry and Convenience Channel (including delivered wholesale), engaging these accounts in developing the Ecotone UK portfolio
Identifying new business opportunities in the High Street sector growing Ecotone’s presence in the channel
Negotiating annual group and retail terms, with all expenditure scheduled and accrued with finance
Effective promotional planning at a head office and regional level
Accountability for continuous brand/range extension in line with strategic planning guidelines
Accountability for successful launches of branded NPD
Responsibility for driving contact strategy with 3rd party field sales agency representing Ecotone brands in Cash and Carry depots and independent sector
Responsibility for proposing and implementing effective spending of channel trade TPR budget to meet sales goals and return on investment criteria
Responsibility for timely and accurate sales forecasting as well as monthly reporting
Building effective working relationships with internal colleagues to help develop sustainable business
Accountability for the development of sales material used within the channel to be as influential as possible
To be successful you’ll need to have at least 3 years’ fmcg (food preferably) sales experience in at least one of these channels of trade.
