Are you an experienced Penetration Testing professional ready to lead a dynamic team? I'm currently working with a cyber security consultancy client of mine that’s looking to appoint a Head of Penetration Testing.


The Role:

In this leadership position, you'll oversee a team of five highly skilled penetration testers, guiding them in delivering top-notch security assessments across various sectors. You'll be instrumental in driving team performance, supporting pre-sales activities, and ensuring the seamless execution of penetration testing services. This is a strategic role, requiring a balance of technical acumen and commercial insight.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of penetration testers, promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Collaborate with sales teams, providing technical input during pre-sales phases.
  • Conduct client scoping exercises to tailor services to specific needs.
  • Oversee the execution and delivery of penetration tests, ensuring adherence to high standards.
  • Provide quality assurance on test reports, both technically and commercially.
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Enhance and expand our penetration testing service offerings.
  • Manage and maintain the team's accreditation, ensuring compliance with industry standards.


About You:

  • Certifications: Essential certifications include CSTM and CSTL.
  • Experience:
  • Proven experience in providing technical expertise during pre-sales activities.
  • A strong background in leading and mentoring a team of CREST-certified testers.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver well-documented services that exceed client expectations.
  • Experience supporting complex testing engagements and acting as a point of escalation for client concerns.
