Job Description

What will you be doing?

As a Power Electronics Software Developer,you will join the UK team to support our activities within the Aerospace/Aviationsectors.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Supporting R & D of Software specifically for Hybrid Propulsion Systems for Aircraft.
  • Work alongside senior members of staff within the research department to define software requirements and thus develop code for prototype power electronics systems & controls
  • Software Development activities being performed in accordance with DO-178C standards

Who are we looking for?

  • An individual who can ensure that all software development activities are processed in accordance with DO-178C processes and standards;
  • An individual who can perform full verification and validation of prototype software and develop the relevant test plans for this process;
  • An individual with the ability to personally develop their knowledge and skills specifically related to aviation software development;
  • An individual who can proactively create and implement plans to address any associated issues which arise with any power electronics on the program.

Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required:

  • 10+ Years of Experience within software development, a bonus if within aerospace or aviation fields;
  • Must have a Masters or Bachelors degree within a relevant field of engineering
  • Must hold the full right to work within the UK
  • Full knowledge of design & certification standards for software which include DO-178C.
  • Full knowledge of ARP 4761 & ARP 4754
  • Hands on experience withsoftware verification and validation
