The Murphy Geospatial and Woolpert union enables numerous career growth and training opportunities within the business.The Opportunity:We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Digital Engineering Department. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a leadership role, managing high-profile projects from inception to completion, while contributing to the growth and development of a dynamic team. The successful applicant will be reporting to the Department Manager and will be based in our London office with the option for remote/ hybrid working.What will I be doing in my new role?Project Delivery• Lead and manage all aspects of project delivery across the full project lifecycle.• Develop efficient project programmes, strategies, and resource plans.• Ensure delivery meets agreed scope, budgets, timelines, and quality standards.Team Contribution & Mentoring• Support the wider PM team by sharing expertise, offering guidance, and contributing to continuous improvement.• Act as a senior member of the team, setting a positive example in communication, planning, and client engagement.Client & Stakeholder Management• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear, proactive, and professional communication.• Attend client and site meetings, presenting technical information confidently and building strong relationships.• Provide consultancy and advice on best approaches for survey and digital engineering workflows.Coordination & Internal Collaboration• Coordinate closely with project managers, technical leads, and other departments.• Ensure smooth and efficient collaboration across internal teams and subcontractors.Commercial & Contract Management• Manage project contracts and subcontracts, including forecasting, invoicing, and cashflow.• Demonstrate strong commercial awareness, identifying efficiencies and opportunities for additional value.• Support Sales with programme inputs, technical discussions, and client meetings when required.Quality, Compliance & Safety• Ensure full adherence to company policies, procedures, and standards.• Prepare RAMS and ensure safe working practices throughout project delivery.• Identify and escalate any potential H&S risks or non-conformities.Role Requirements:• Minimum 5 years' post-graduate experience in a surveying or digital engineering environment.• Strong technical understanding across multiple survey disciplines (Topographical, MBS, Utility, BIM, UAV, etc.)• Proven experience delivering complex, multi-disciplinary projects.• Ability to confidently advise clients and guide project direction.• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).• Demonstrated commitment to health and safety.• High attention to detail with strong organisational capability.• Proficient in MS Office and comfortable with digital workflows.• Right to work in the UK.Key Attributes:• Strong planning and organisational capability• Strategic thinking and sound judgement• Confidence in client-facing situations• Collaborative mindset and strong teamwork skills• Adaptability and resilience• Proactive approach, drive, and initiative• Ability to influence without formal authorityWhy build your career with Murphy Geospatial?Widely Recognised: We are widely recognised as one of the most experienced, professional, innovative, and technologically proficient surveying companies today.Cutting Edge Technologies: we use only the very latest technological equipment.Support network: We pride ourselves on our excellent support network of employees and management who are always eager to help each other.Equality & Opportunity: We are fully committed to a policy of equality of opportunity in our employment practices.Breadth of Experience: We branch across all sectors of industry giving our staff opportunities to gain a broad base of knowledge and experience.Learning & Growth: We support and develop our people to enhance their technical and personal competencies towards the achievement of their ambitions.Exclusive Clients: We are proud to work with a broad spectrum of exclusive clients.Murphy Geospatial HR PhilosophyOur people are a critical part of our success and represent the value of Murphy Geospatial through their actions and decisions every day.
