Due to continued framework successes, we seek to recruit an Hydraulic Modeller to join our Wastewater Team in Bristol. We are looking for entry level candidates who may have limited experience in the area but with good analytical skills and a desire to learn.We aren't just engineers, environmental professionals, or consultants. We're pioneers, constantly innovating and pushing boundaries to tackle some of the world's most pressing challenges - especially when it comes to water. From enhancing our beautiful rivers and urban landscapes to building sustainable cities in the harshest environments - our Networks & Drainage Solutions (N&DS) team is at the forefront.Over the next 10 years, we plan to expand the practice rapidly to meet our clients' objectives. We're developing enhanced training courses to accelerate our staff resource capability. You'll receive mentorship fromthe outstanding leaders we have within the team.From day one your personal development plan puts you in the driving seat of your career and you'll be supported to go as far as you want to go.Your roleTo develop computer models, to investigate flooding and environmental problems and generation of outline solutions.Build, verification and analysis of hydraulic sewer models outputs.To development of 1D and 2D models to investigate flood risk and flooding mechanisms.Data handling and analysis.Use of GIS software (such as MapInfo & ArcGIS), to support our understanding of complex environmental problems.Development of reports and other project deliverables.Survey planning and survey supervision.To support junior members of the team, to proactively solve environmental problems for our clients. About youAn understanding of the UK water industry, environment and sustainability and desire to apply your skills to the challenges the environment faces.Previous demonstrable experience in wastewater modelling using InfoWorks ICM.Proactive self-starter, with a desire to learn and develop technically and be working towards a professional qualification.Good written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.Reward & benefitsExplore the rewards and benefits that help you thrive - at every stage of your life and your career.
