Ability to make sound engineering judgements based on relevant professional experience. Ability to scrutinise and compare technical documents. Good IT literacy skills (Microsoft Office). ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY As a Certification Engineer your role is to help coordinate the company's product certification activities within your area of expertise and take an active role in the product certification process for our ASTA certification schemes.Key activities:Conducting certification activities (Recommendation and Certification Decision) for all schemes. Preparation, review and authorisation of test programmes. Creation and checking of certificates and technical reports. Assessment of laboratories to ISO 17025 and Intertek Requirements.Witnessing of testing activities undertaken as part of the ASTA schemes. Processing and management of enquiries, quotations and orders for type testing and certification. Regular monitoring of project status including discussions with colleagues in other offices. Supporting of sales teams to progress the technical aspects of the sales process. Liaising with clients, including the development of professional relationships and providing technical support.
