Job Title: Italian-Speaking Accounts Assistant (Part-Time, Hybrid)Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire Working Model: Hybrid (2–3 days per week office-based, remainder remote) Hours: Part-time (approx. 20–25 hours per week, flexible)About the RoleWe are seeking an organised, detail-focused, Italian-speaking account assistant to join our finance team in Stevenage. This part-time hybrid role is ideal for someone with strong accounting support skills, excellent communication abilities, and fluency in both Italian and English. You will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day financial operations and providing support for Italian-speaking customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processesProcess invoices, credit notes, and expense claimsPerform bank reconciliations and update ledgers accuratelyChase outstanding payments and manage supplier queriesSupport month-end tasks, including journal entries and reportingCommunicate with Italian-speaking clients and suppliers (phone/email)Maintain accurate financial records and documentationHelp with ad-hoc finance administration and project tasksSkills & ExperienceFluency in Italian and English (written and spoken) – essentialPrevious experience in an accounts assistant, bookkeeping, or finance admin roleStrong understanding of basic accounting principlesProficient in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)High attention to detail and strong organisational skillsAbility to prioritise tasks and meet deadlinesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsPersonal AttributesProactive and self-motivatedReliable, professional, and able to handle confidential informationComfortable working independently and as part of a teamFlexible attitude to working in a hybrid environmentBenefitsHybrid working arrangement (office in Stevenage)Flexible part-time working hoursCompetitive salary (pro-rata)Pension schemeSupportive team environmentOpportunities for development within the finance function
