Together, we are not just advancing technology; we're building a community committed to safeguarding a safer and more connected world.Main Duties:Supports early subcontractor identification and engagement to support new business pursuits and provide risk and opportunity analysis for early capture.Supports the development of regulation (Procurement Act 2023) compliant procurement strategies (including identifying the appropriate procedure and providing full justification for its selection) for our Ministry of Defence Customer (working with the Customer to gain endorsement)Supports the execution of PCR or DSPCR compliant procurement procedures and supports the multi-functional internal teams through the process including scoring moderation. (working with the Customer to gain endorsement at each stage including the setting of Selection and Award criteria including weightings etc)Negotiates, administers, and manages complex Subcontracts and AgreementsIdentifies and manages risk and opportunity, working collaboratively with customers and other project team membersCreates and maintains of the Subcontract Management Plan and compliance matricesManages and measures Subcontract value and performanceAdministers delivery/acceptance/invoicing of goods and services and the prompt payment to suppliersMaintenance of recordsAttends, and may present at, customer and internal reviewsSupports, or produces, business cases/ briefing materials for senior management reviewsParticipates in cross-functional improvement activityContinually assesses and promotes sustainable and responsible procurement, including social, cultural and diversity values in the organisation and throughout the supply chainParticipates in development of supplier Statements of Work (SOW), and conducts bidders' conferences as required.Works with suppliers and other stakeholders to achieve collaborative partnering and strategic relationship management to deliver value for the organisationActively promotes the contributions that the function can make to achieving corporate objectives across the organisation, with stakeholders and with the supply chainParticipates in gate reviews and capture / proposal efforts. Candidate Requirements:Essential:Experience in Subcontract Management, Procurement and/or another related fieldAn ability to respond to tasks with tenacity and flexibility, whilst working cross functionally and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary teamStrong stakeholder management skills at all levels within an organisationFlexible and positive attitudeExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficient IT skills and good understanding of Microsoft Office Programmes (E.g. Excel, Word)Strong understanding of Subcontract Management and Procurement principlesSelf-motivation and independent workingA willingness and ability to travel occasionallySC ClearanceDesirable: Awareness of Government and Defence contracting norms incl.
