Central to this mission is creating consumer experiences that are meaningful, relevant, and solve real-world challenges.Job Overview: The Consumer Strategist is responsible for placing consumers at the centre of business strategy by understanding their behaviours, attitudes, and needs. The role identifies key problems to solve through in-depth insights, then develops and executes experiences that are impactful, intuitive, and improve lives. Working closely with brand teams and cross-functional partners, the successful candidate will embed a consumer-first mindset across the organisation while building capability within wider teams. This role covers the Northern European Hub, including the UK and Nordic markets.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop deep understanding of consumers within cardio-metabolic health (Obesity & T2D) using segmentation, personas, detailed consumer journeys, and ecosystem mapping.Design a 5-year strategy for consumer engagement in the obesity area.Lead planning, execution, and optimisation of consumer campaigns across key channels by:Collaborating with media agencies on campaign planningPartnering with creative agencies to localise global content and create locally relevant assets that deliver strong impactEnsuring all content complies with legal and regulatory requirementsWorking with BI&A teams to monitor, measure, and optimise campaigns for continuous improvementCollaborate with internal cross-functional teams (Marketing, Market Research, Digital, Sales, Medical Affairs, Legal) and external partners (agencies, vendors) to ensure alignment, clarity, and execution excellence.Build consumer-centric capabilities within the team by demonstrating tools, techniques, and processes that prioritise consumer needs.Monitor external trends and adjust strategies as necessary.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree10+ years of experience in consumer marketing within a healthcare/ pharmaceutical settingStrong leadership and team management skills, with a proven record of motivating and developing high-performing teamsDeep knowledge of consumer data, insights, and planning toolsExperience collaborating with media, creative, and research agenciesStrong analytical skills with the ability to extract actionable insights from marketing dataExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProven project management ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment
