Backend Developer – Golang / Python / Java / Tech-First Fintech – Inside IR35Our client is a leading, tech-first fintech building backend systems that power millions of users every day. They are looking for a Backend Developer with experience in Golang, Python, or Java who can contribute to scalable, high-performance systems and help deliver impactful products.Key Responsibilities:Build and maintain backend services and APIs in a Golang-first environment, with Python or Java experience welcomeWork on distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven pipelines handling millions of requests with low latencyDeploy and operate services on Kubernetes and Docker, leveraging AWS infrastructure such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDSImplement monitoring and observability using tools like Grafana and Prometheus to track system performanceCollaborate with product, frontend, and analytics teams to deliver features that make a tangible impact on user experienceContribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and maintainable code practicesKey Skills:Golang / Python / Java: solid backend experience, happy to work in a Golang-first environmentScalable systems: experience with microservices, event-driven architecture, and high-throughput APIsCloud-native: AWS or GCP experience, containerisation, orchestration, and horizontal scalingProduct-focused mindset: enjoys building systems that directly improve user experience and business outcomesCollaboration: Agile, TDD, CI/CD, and comfortable working closely across teamsRate: DoE, Inside IR35Location: Fully remote, UK-basedDuration: 6-month rolling contracts within a multi-year engagement
