You will design and deliver high-quality programmes that build knowledge, confidence and capability - from e-learning and virtual workshops to live face-to-face sessions, interactive tools and workplace assignments.About the roleReporting to the Head of Operations – Learning, you will take the lead in designing IGD's learning offer, creating new learning experiences and refreshing existing content to ensure it is engaging, relevant and high-quality.Through your work, you will play a pivotal role in delivering IGD's learning strategy, translating strategic priorities into impactful learning experiences that support industry capability and growth.You will balance digital content development with the design of live and virtual learning experiences, ensuring a consistent and engaging approach across all formats.Working closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) you will translate complex industry insights into practical, engaging learning for both digital and face-to-face formats. You will also explore emerging tools and approaches, continually enhancing the learner experience and supporting IGD's learning objectives.We are committed to diversity, equity and inclusion and you will help ensure learning is accessible and inclusive for all learners.Learning design and developmentDesign and build engaging learning programmes including e-learning modules, webinars, workshops and live sessionsTranslate learning objectives and SME input into interactive, outcomes-focused content across formatsDevelop blended learning journeys that combine digital and face-to-face approaches using tools such as Articulate 360 (Rise, Storyline), Synthesia, Vyond, Camtasia and workshop facilitation methodsCollaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure content aligns with learner needs, business priorities and brand standardsStay aware of learning trends and integrate innovative approaches, AI and emerging tools where relevantReview and update the annual content planEnhance learner experience and qualityContinuously review and improve learning content to ensure consistency, accessibility and quality across digital and in-person deliveryDesign learner resources, job aids and supporting materials that strengthen practical application and knowledge retentionGather and analyse learner and stakeholder feedback to optimise content effectiveness and experienceStakeholder managementWork closely with the engagement team to ensure learning content is promoted effectively and integrated into broader engagement initiativesPartner with programme managers to align learning design and delivery with programme goals and desired outcomesCollaborate with the marketing team to promote learning content and ensure brand consistency and strong audience reachSupport learning operations and collaborationWork with the Learning team to plan and deliver content aligned to strategic goalsContribute to the continuous improvement and future direction of IGD's learning design ensuring alignment with our strategic priorities and learner insightsSupport the rollout of learning materials, internal communications and learner guidanceMaintain version control, asset management and documentation for all learning materialsContinuous professional growthDevelop your expertise in digital and face-to-face learning design, instructional design and multimedia productionShare ideas and insights to uplift learning capability across the teamWhat you bringEssentialProven experience designing and delivering digital and live learning experiences including e-learning modules, workshops, webinars and face-to-face programmesStrong visual design and multimedia production skills (e.g. Vyond, Synthesia, Camtasia)Excellent instructional design ability turning complex concepts into engaging learner-centred contentClear communication and collaboration skills able to work effectively with SMEs and programme teamsStrong planning and organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple projectsA passion for creative, practical and data-informed learning designDesirableFamiliarity with learning analytics tools or LMS platformsUnderstanding of adult learning theory and instructional design modelsExperience designing blended, gamified or inclusive learning experiencesThe rewardsWe offer a range of benefits including a market leading pension, a bonus scheme, the ability to buy and sell annual leave plus a generous medical insurance package.
