Learning & Development Manager – Part Time Skanska, one of the world’s leading project development and construction groups, is an inclusive and responsible business that is helping to build a better society. We are looking for a part‑time Learning & Development Manager to deliver learning and development initiatives that drive talent development, employee competencies and organisational performance. You will partner with OU leadership, project directors and line managers to embed a culture of continuous learning and development aligned with Skanska’s values. What you’ll do: Lead the development and implementation of learning and development initiatives aligned with the Infrastructure operating unit and Skanska’s “one Skanska” philosophy, including supporting sector‑specific skills initiatives. Design, deliver and evaluate learning interventions that enhance technical skills and leadership capabilities across the operating units (e.g., line manager training). Partner with a BU Capability area to identify and address competency gaps using learning needs analysis. Build and maintain strong relationships with OU leadership, project directors, HRBPs, line managers, and L&D Managers in other operating units, to ensure L&D initiatives meet evolving business needs. Act as a trusted advisor on all learning matters, influencing decision making to embed a culture of continuous development. Support the OU quarterly Talent Review process and demonstrate tangible outputs related to the development of OULT successors. Support talent identification and succession planning, including targeted development interventions and project/sector talent reviews. Ensure clarity around career paths to support retention, development and progression. What you’ll bring to the role: Strong people skills – ability to build relationships with stakeholders, coach line managers, and influence senior leaders. Ability to role model Skanska’s values. Proactive vision selling and ability to assemble a team to deliver. Experience in leading learning and development initiatives in a complex, project‑based environment. Experience in key L&D functions including training facilitation, succession planning, and learning needs analysis.
