We are looking to hire a strategy consulting leader for our Payments Business. The ideal candidate will be a strategy consultant at Manager or Senior Manager grade, with knowledge of the cards and payments industries, most likely gained from a consultancy environment. Candidates with extensive experience working for an international card scheme, in strategy, will also be welcome to apply.Our UK Cards and Payments team members are internationally recognised strategy specialists with deep expertise in cards and payments. We are problem-solvers at heart and use our expertise and differentiated skillset to deliver strong outcomes for our clients.Brilliant solutions need brilliant peopleAs a Manager in the Cards & Payments practice, you would be involved in the following activities:Strategy consulting in the payments industryAdvising FinTechs, banks, card schemes, private equity firms and other payments companies on growth, expansion, improving revenue generation and profitability, innovation and pricing and commercial optimisationCreating commercial, business, and product strategiesLeading and managing small consulting teams, ensuring delivery excellence and professional development of team membersDriving client engagement and relationship management, acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholdersCommercial accountability, including:Managing project budgets and profitabilityIdentifying and developing new business opportunitiesSupporting revenue growth through proposal development and client pitchesOverseeing quality assurance for client deliverablesRequirementsThe ideal candidate will possess the following experience:High levels of mathematical ability and skills in quantitative modellingStrong knowledge of the cards and payments industry across market structure, economics, processing infrastructure, regulation, products and servicesRelevant experience in Strategy consulting, with the ability to demonstrate contribution to multiple projects with clients operating in the payments industry (cards / instant payments / APMs)Proven leadership skills, including team management and mentoringStrong commercial acumen, with experience in managing budgets, driving profitability, and contributing to business developmentExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsBe | Shaping the Future is headquartered in London, and has a successful and dynamic UK leadership team, with a record of leading consulting businesses that clients want to work with.
