NorthPoint Strategy is looking to hire a Consultant / Senior Consultant to join our growing team.

We are looking for an excellent candidate to join our Public Affairs team. Possessing a deep understanding of the British political system, you will have the opportunity to advise clients operating across the frontier tech, energy and beyond. You will serve as the primary point of contact with clients, helping to manage and run client accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client account management relationship management, serving as the primary point of contact for assigned clients and accounts.
  • Lead and deliver public affairs strategies for clients across a range of sectors
  • Contribute to business growth by helping to craft proposals and presentations, and actively participating in pitches.
  • Monitor political developments to inform client work and new business opportunities
  • Develop compelling briefings and other materials.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders across the UK political landscape, with a particular focus on the Labour Party.

What we are looking for:

  • Candidate with a minimum of one year of relevant experience at consultant level, with a strong political network.
  • This experience includes work in an agency or a communications role, potentially combined with time spent in Parliament, in-house, or within local, regional, or national government.
  • Additional experience in sectors such as emerging technology and energy or related policy areas would be a bonus.
  • A self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset who is not shy to get stuck in.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent understanding of parliamentary process.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

For the right candidate, we will offer:

  • A salary between £45,000 - £60,000
  • Discretionary annual bonus
  • An industry-leading new business commission structure

The interview process will involve several stages, which will include a written test.

The successful candidate must have permission to work in the UK before the commencement of employment.
