Job DescriptionIntelligent Automation Technical Lead – Insurance, London -up to £100k + significant bonusHybrid working model Our insurance client are seeking Technical Lead for their Intelligent Automation practice. You will lead the development of end-to-end AI projects and provide high level technical oversight and guidance to the existing RPA team to improve digital operations. This function will build and maintain a competitive advantage through increased speed and agility. To broaden its impact, the team has expanded its focus to deliver business-driven intelligent automation capabilities that combine internal/external data, Intelligent Document Processing to produce tangible value for the broader organization. This includes working with artificial intelligence/machine learning, computer vision, NLP, OCR/IDP, and algorithmic-based actions.The successful applicant will partner closely with management to design, develop, and implement AI solutions by applying the right mix of technologies across the underwriting and claims functions. You will manage and a small team of both onshore and offshore resources and be part of wider team which has established itself as a driving force through the implementation of real-time analytic and automation solutions that improve profitability and growth.Please note that all applicants must have significant experience working within an analytics / automation role, with some or (ideally) all of that time within the insurance industry, which includes real world experience applying LLMs to a business problem. Job ResponsibilitiesOwning the technical delivery of intelligent automation solutions, working closely with the Business Engagement Lead to deliver value to business unitsHands-on management of offshore intelligent automation technical resourcesCreating automation solution designs in line with industry best practicesUnderstand and advise on intelligent automation cost optimisation, considering concepts such as tokenisation etc.Act as subject matter expert for intelligent automation solutions and their underlying technologiesDesign and execute technical and business focused proof-of-concepts to evaluate the business value of AI coordinating between data engineers/scientists, business partners and vendorsRequired Skills/ExperienceProven history of people/project/thought leadership & collaborationDemonstrable experience in an Analytics/Automation management positionComfortable handling ambiguous concepts and breaking down complex problems into manageable piecesExcellent critical thinking skills in order to tackle complex data challengesAbility to communicate effectively to different target audiencesComfortable working in a fast paced and highly collaborative global teamFlexibility – able to meet changing requirements and prioritiesReal world experience applying LLMs to a business problemSignificant experience working within an analytics / automation role, with some / all of that time within the insurance industryUniversity degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or equivalent quantitative disciplinesDesired Skills/ExperienceP&C insurance business process analysis, process improvement and automation experienceExperience leading multidisciplinary teams for delivering technology solutionsExperience defining technology requirements designed to enhance business processes and business optimizationPython development experience
