As a bank carer, you will work on a flexible, ad-hoc basis to cover staff absences, respond to seasonal demands, or offer additional support when required.Your work will help ensure that our Service Users continue to live safely, comfortably, and independently within their own homes or care settings.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist Service Users with personal care, including washing, bathing, dressing, and toiletingSupport with getting up in the morning, preparing for bed in the evening, and ensuring medication is taken as requiredHelp with household and domestic tasks, including cleaning, laundry, and shoppingPrepare and assist with meals, drinks, and snacks where necessaryEncourage and enable Service Users to follow agreed person-centred care plansPut Service Users’ wellbeing at the heart of your work — going the extra mile to promote dignity, comfort, and independenceMaintain clear and accurate records and communicate any concerns or changes in wellbeing to managers or relevant professionalsWhat We ExpectPrevious experience as a Health Care Assistant or in a similar role is preferred, but not essential — full training providedA caring, patient, and respectful mannerThe ability to work independently and as part of a teamGood communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentialityRight to work in the UKA valid DBS certificate (or willingness to apply for one)Desirable:Training in Moving and HandlingExperience supporting individuals with dementia or additional needsAwareness of safeguarding and recognising signs of deteriorationBenefits of a Zero-Hour (Bank) ContractA bank contract is ideal if you need flexibility around other commitments such as study, childcare, or another role.You will benefit from:Flexible scheduling – choose when and where you workThe chance to gain hands-on experience in a variety of care environmentsCompetitive pay rates with enhancements for weekends and bank holidaysWeekly pay and supportive communication from our friendly management teamConsiderationsWhile flexibility is a key advantage, zero-hour contracts do not guarantee fixed hours or income each week.Work availability may vary depending on service demandIncome may fluctuate from week to week.
