Job DescriptionIntermediate Electrical Design Engineer - Job DescriptionWe are seeking an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing building services design team. The successful candidate will support the development, coordination, and delivery of electrical engineering designs across a variety of project types.OverviewYou will be expected to bring strong technical knowledge, experience of building services design, and familiarity with current industry standards. The role involves working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, producing high-quality design outputs, and contributing to the technical progression of junior staff.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct surveys, testing, and reporting on existing electrical installations.Participate in technical meetings with professional teams, contractors, and stakeholders.Carry out engineering calculations using Amtech, ProDesign, or equivalent software.Prepare tender specifications, drawings, and documentation for new and ongoing projects.Oversee and review the technical work of trainees, graduates, and engineers.Coordinate electrical services designs with other disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.Apply relevant British Standards and best-practice guidelines to all design work.Skills & Professional ExpertiseCompetent in producing specification designs and drawings across various building types.Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.).Strong understanding of relevant British Standards and building services principles.Ability to manage and prioritise own workload effectively.Able to work to tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and technical quality.Demonstrable commitment to developing professional status within the industry.Qualifications (Preferred)Degree in Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.HNC/ONC/BTEC in Building Services Engineering or equivalent.ExperienceIdeally a minimum of 3 years' experience within a UK consultancy environment.Experience across multiple project types and electrical systems is advantageous.Security RequirementMust be eligible for UK Security Check (SC) Clearance, including meeting residency and background criteria.Additional InformationJob Type: Permanent, full-time.Salary: Dependent on experience.Must live within a commutable distance of the Stanmore area.Benefits after probation may include private healthcare, salary sacrifice pension scheme, and death-in-service insurance
