We are working with a bespoke industrial manufacturing business based in Watford. They offer full project lifecycle from initial client discussion to installation/commissioning through to servicing and aftercare. Our client is investing massively into the businessand are on target to hit over 20 mil turnover. They are looking for a Senior Design Engineer to join their expanding manufacturing team of 20 currently, the role is integral for the business to ensure they are constantly providing their clients with the top-tierservice they are renowned for.
Main roles/responsibilities:
Supervising the design team and assisting them with any work/project issues, delegating and assigning work to the team.
Very hands on designing position - 80% hands on 20% hands off training/management
Managing multiple projects at any one time
Working with materials such as steel, copper and electrical
2D and 3D sheet metal design of cabinets
Looking at improvement projects regarding efficiency and design speed
We are looking to speak with individuals who have experience within Design roles previously, sheet metal design would be beneficial. If you have previously lead teams previously then that would play into your favour. The design packages that they use with AutoCAD.
