Job DescriptionIf you are passionate about helping children with Special Educational Needs thrive both academically and personally, Tradewind Recruitment are seeking dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Specialists to join our partner primary schools across South Liverpool.This full-time role involves providing 1:1 and small-group support, focusing on helping pupils overcome behavioural, emotional, and learning barriers to ensure they can fully access the curriculum and enjoy school life.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide targeted behaviour and learning support to pupils with a range of SEND needs.Implement, review and contribute to Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure a consistent and effective approach for each child.Promote a positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment where every pupil feels safe and supported.Use de-escalation and positive behaviour management techniques to help pupils regulate and engage.What We're Looking ForExperience supporting children with SEN or challenging behaviour, ideally in a school or care setting.A patient, resilient and caring approach.Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude towards engaging pupils in their learning.Child-related Manual Handling qualifications are highly desired and previous experience supporting children with challenging behaviour is essential for the roleIf you feel this could be the perfect next step in your education career, please contact Oli on (phone number removed) or email #INDLIV
