Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Engineer – ProducibilityLocation: Samlesbury (Full-time on site)Salary: £49,400+What You'll Be DoingSupporting the business in understanding how product and process design can meet dimensional requirements while remaining fully producibleEvaluating design proposals to minimise manufacturing lead time and reduce cost of non-qualityApplying established engineering tools, methods and techniques to future programme developmentContributing to the creation and deployment of new tools and capability within the teamSupporting Design for Manufacture (DfM) activities to ensure designs are optimised for efficient and reliable productionAssisting with New Product Introduction (NPI) activities for a new and emerging programmeWorking closely with design, manufacturing and quality functions to ensure alignment between design intent and production capabilityEssentialYour skills and experiences:Minimum HND in an Engineering discipline and/or equivalent qualification/experienceExperience in the engineering and manufacture of mechanical assembly productsDesirableFamiliarity with BAE Systems Air Sector Manufacturing Engineering policies and processesExperience with engineering toolsets (CAD / PLM / SAPCAMS)Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)Understanding of digital inspection e.g. CMM (co-ordinate measuring machine), laser trackerBenefitsAs well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts – you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.The Manufacturing Engineering Producibility TeamThe manufacturing engineering function supports all existing and emerging projects within Air and are responsible for process and toolset development and governance.
