Key ResponsibilitiesYou'll provide tailored academic, organisational, and pastoral support to help learners stay on track and succeed across their upskilling journey.Learner Support & SuccessProvide 1:1 support for working professionals needing help with organisation, study skills, time management, accountability, or confidenceHelp learners interpret feedback and improve the clarity and quality of their submissions and reflectionsSupport learners in building strong working habits, hitting milestones, and staying engagedRun wellbeing and motivation check-ins that keep learners moving forwardIdentify at-risk learners early and intervene with structured, supportive action plansAcademic & Skills DevelopmentTeach core learning skills such as note-taking, planning, communication, reflective practice, and prioritisationCoach learners through foundational digital concepts (no technical teaching required)Help learners understand assessment expectations and what "good" looks likeSupport learners preparing for their final gateway and assessments with confidenceProgress Monitoring & ReportingTrack progress using Aptem dashboards and learner analyticsMaintain clear, accurate records of support sessions and interventionsEscalate safeguarding or wellbeing issues promptly and appropriatelyWork alongside Skills Coaches during progress reviews to support learner developmentCollaboration & Continuous ImprovementWork with Technical Coaches, Career Coaches, and Quality teams to create a unified learner experienceShare insights into learner barriers so we can refine curriculum and deliverySupport onboarding to ensure new learners integrate smoothlyHelp build a supportive, energising learner community across cohorts Your First 90 DaysDeliver consistent, high-quality support sessions across multiple cohortsBuild support plans for learners with additional needsAchieve 100 percent accuracy on core Aptem recordsEstablish deep understanding of our programme structures and learner journeysCreate strong rhythms and communication loops with Technical CoachesSupport enrichment, interventions, and engagement activities You'll Succeed Here If You Already HaveExperienceBackground supporting adult learners in any of the following: apprenticeships, adult education, HE, bootcamps, corporate learning, or similarExperience with coaching, mentoring, case management, pastoral support, or learner successExperience supporting people who are changing careers or upskillingSkills & MindsetWarm, calm, structured coaching styleStrong communicator who can motivate struggling learnersExcellent organisational skills — able to manage multiple learners without dropping detailsSolutions-focused, compassionate, and adaptableComfortable operating in a fast-moving, innovative environmentFamiliarity with Aptem or similar MIS systems (nice to have, not essential)This is an excellent fit for someone who loves helping adults grow, build confidence, and reach new professional milestones.
